This is my first Macau travel, I want to share to you my own experiences.

Before traveling bring some food that you can hand carry on the plane or you can check in so that you have something to eat when you’re hungry.

When you had the fixed schedule when is your travel look for the flight deals and hotel deals that will suit your airfare budget. Our flight is June 18 but we get the plane ticket last February 23. We look at the different Travel Booking Apps that have the lowest price. Prepare for the Travel Tax Php 1620.00 and Terminal Fee Php 850.00. Prepare your passport, travel documents (permit to travel if working/has profession), boarding pass, the address of the hotel for the immigration. Don’t forget to fill up the departure and arrival form at the airport. Don’t bring water when entering the second x-ray machine after immigration.

From Mactan-Cebu International Airport to Macao International Airport our flight was 8:45 am to 11:35 am (2hrs. and 50mins). Four hours from departure time you must be at the airport so that you have spare time if anything happens. We also board on the plane an hour from the departure time. We also arrive at 11 am at Macao International Airport. Macao International Airport has an information counter where we ask what bus no. we will ride to our hotel. Also grab some map, travel guide at the airport. Go also to the money changer in the airport and change for some money you need.

Macao has many bus stop with different assign bus stop numbers. Their buses have the same fare at 6 MOP. As we ride on the bus you can sightseeing at different attractions in Macau. The fare when entering the bus just drop box near the driver. The locals use the card and they will tap it when they ride the bus. From the airport to Hou Kong Hotel we ride bus no. 26.

As you book a hotel always read the comments or reviews of other travelers from the hotel. Take a look some of their photos, locate it in the Google map. We book the Hou Kong Hotel for a night. It is a two star hotel and it is on the list of Macau budget accommodation booklet at the airport. Because we arrive early at the hotel, we just drop off our baggage at the front desk. Hou Kong Hotel check-in time is 2 pm and checkout 12noon. The hotel has 200MOP cash deposit where you can get after checkout.

As you travel always ask from the locals of that area. Other people in Macau don’t understand English. If you have an offline translator or offline map prepare it when you travel. Macau had many old buildings. No lot of people in the street. You can also buy a Simcard with a data connection at the airport.

The front desk of Hou Kong Hotel understand English, but you must understand and listen carefully to their response. Hou Kong Hotel is near from different local restaurants, 10minute walk to the Ruins of St. Paul, Senado Square, and other churches. The room is big and nice, with a hot and cold shower. Has television where you can watch online YouTube. The air conditioner is cold. Has a big comfort room or toilet. They will give you shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, shower cap, small comb. The room is clean. There is no water to drink, you must buy in a convenient store.

From Hou Kong Hotel to Venetian we ride the bus no. MT4 the bus stop is near the hotel. From Venetian you can take a walk to Parisian, Studio City, etc. must visit at night so you can see the lights. From Studio City bus stop we also ride the MT4 bus Back to our hotel.

You can buy drinking water at 12MOP for 1.5Liters it is the cheapest price. The food we eat for lunch at Mou Kei starts at 45MOP per meal but if you just eat 1cup of rice the meal can be divided into two people. There is a teapot place in the table if you drink, it is not free you will add 3MOP. And it has free wifi. The souvenirs in Macau has a high price. The one magnet is at 15MOP to 35MOP. Souvenirs Are near The Ruins and Senado Square. There is no traffic in Macau. The coins and paper money in Hongkong can be used at Macau.

We check out early at the hotel at 8 am and took the bus 101x the bus stop is two blocks away from the hotel. 101x bus is going to the HZMB Macau port where you can ride a bus to Hongkong for 45mins.

The HZMB Macau Port is very big, quite because of little people only. You must try to visit and took a bus ride to Macau. It has also an immigration counter. The fare HZMB Macau to HK is 65MOP.
